Ariana is releasing POP MUSIC (you know, the stuff this board is always begging for from Gaga?) and it makes everyone so mad that it's successful! GP is eating this **** up, more than they have anything Gaga has released since TFM. It's mainstream, bop-able, and current, and very reminiscent of when Gaga absolutely smashed in 2009/2010.

TU,N is pop... Pop music these days includes more diversity than it did a few years ago, with trap, rap, even country influences. 

I'd argue Gaga is the #1 star, but in terms of music, Ari is on top. Gaga is a star for the film, the awards shows, Shallow, etc. right now. She's not exactly churning out pop music atm. Ari is a pop star, plain and simple. She's only focused on the music, the videos and the era. 

And yes while the fans, myself included, are happy for her success and stability, it's very clear on this forum that Gaga fans are salty over her success. She's giving a true POP era, full of visuals and lewks and fashion and attitude, and that's something we haven't had from Lady Gaga in years. This is Ari's TFM era level of success and artistry, and since Gaga is focused on other projects and aspects of life atm, it gets the Little Monsters riled up over comparisons. They can't handle the fact that another pop girl is having massive success and delivering bops while their fave is singing songs off a soundtrack.
