It’s similar case to Rihanna or Katy - singles are smashing, albums... not really.

Neither Katy or Rihanna have ever debuted an entire album in the top 10 of both Spotify and Apple Music though, that's some Drake-level sh!t

which makes this prediction all the more conservative

Who's the most popular in the world would u say then? I can't think of another global name that's bigger. She's definitely the biggest here in Canada too. Even Drake who at his recent peak was the most popular artist I ever remember here in Toronto even he's no longer as popular as Ariana is atm

And aren't these numbers for HDD for the US market anyway

she's also making numbers in Asian countries, 7 Rings and TUN have been in the top 50 for weeks on Korea's biggest chart

Yeah I never heard any Taylor Swift song ft Ed Sheeran or anyone talk about it

It must if totally bombed in my Country

But again the first 3 you mentioned were pretty huge here in Canada. Or at least in Toronto they were

I'd have to check the chart history to know for sure. Canada is a big country sometimes what does well in your city/province isn't always representative of the Nation as a whole

I remember this song "stereo Love" (the second version ft MIA Martina) wasn't an out of this world massive hit in North America as a whole including Canada...

But in Toronto it was the biggest hit by far that I ever remember. I'm not exaggerating when I say that song was on the radio everyday for almost 2 years straight :saladga:

Ask anyone from Toronto about stereo Love and they can tell you it was the most annoyingly overplayed song in history :air:

I’m from Ottawa and I heard End Game oncthe radio ALLLL the time

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

When I'm not on data I'm gonna search up the song to make sure I didn't hear it. Maybe I just don't recognize it by name

mess.

Sales are still a thing, here why they're still counted:

- She's selling less than Sweetener (which i think above any other reason, shows an underperformance)

- Equal to that of "Rainbow" (released only 1.5 years ago), which wasn't exactly considered a success

-About equal to that of "Melodrama" (released less than 2 years ago), which wasn't a commercial success.

what's not clicking??? what's not clicking :smh:

First week predictions usually start popping up a day after an album is released. They’re not always precise but they’re usually in the same ball park. If 300k is their max prediction right now I don’t think the final number will be over 400k even with a big push in promo.

and now that she's chosen not to performance at the Grammys (which last year had 20 million viewers), the promo is lacking

This has to be an underestimation right? She’s on top of the world right now and the number one streamed artist on Spotify. :oprah:

Seriously, it’s not 2011 anymore (tho it should be).

Her album is outselling ASIB so we really don’t have any room to talk and that’s not me being shady, just me being tired of people finding ways to tear her apart :trollga:

Is it though? :gayhat:

Stronger streams in the first week in no way means its outselling ASIB lol :triggered:

This makes no sense and you are just proving their point by comparing its sales to flop albums.

It's 2019. Album sales are dead. They don't matter. Streams do.

I'm writing this while streaming "break up with your girlfriend" on Spotify for a 248th time.
