It’s no wonder she bloomed into the megastar she became and the icon she is. From day one she was so unique and filled with inspiration and creativity.

Early 2009Ga and late 2009Ga are very different imo. During the final stages of the The Fame era she was revolutionary but still had that "not that bombastic" feel. But when the The Fame Monster era started she went full on bombastic and wow factor, her fashion choses were very unique. The Fame era still had those moments sometimes but The Fame Monster era had waaaay more.

Smother Em Eh

That was the beginning of her prime/ pure glory days. FameGa is legendary and will live on forever. Her debut was something else and no other pop girl after her will compare.

I admire that dramatic change in 2009Ga. She went from cute pop diva into some devious b*tch.

And this is what many people forget just because it was all so fast and... Together.

The end of the Fame era around Paparazzi and then TFM is really what made her "Gaga". Before that she was different and edgy yes. There were many sexual female popstars before her. She was always different but she didn't have the shock and grotesqueness to her that came with the 2009 era. In the beginning of TF, she wasn't allowed to take as many risks. She was new. She was still going for the cute blonde popstar. Just look at the video for Just Dance and her speaking voice that she used to do.

It's what really got her pushing boundary after another.

Absolutely, and this change is what made me a stan. During TF era, I was a teen and just heard about her. My "cooler than me" cousins showed me this new pop star they heard on the radio, we all loved the LoveGame music video and thought she was so cool and weird and funny, pelvic thrusting her way around the stage. But for the most part, I still wasn't into pop music and didn't like Gaga better than my rock goddesses Amy Lee and Tarja Turunen who I was rly into at the time. After she died on stage at the VMAs, terrified Eminem in an unholy lace demon sausage suit, and set her kidnapper on fire in Bad Romance, I knew this chick was on another level :firega:

It really was, but you had to dig a little deeper past what the average radio listener saw of her and check out her live performances, interlude videos, etc. to fully understand how subversive TF and Candy Warhol were
