You could say they’re using her for promo but after she confirmed that she’ll perform and attend, every major publications including the Grammys themselves used her picture when talking about the Grammys. And she’s had a fantastic year, a repeak, critical acclaim and commercial success. And she’s been performing for the last four years and she was snubbed last year. I think she has made a great impression to the voters and I don’t think they will deny her anything at this point. Also, she’s the biggest star attending. Does it matter? We saw how Million Reasons did when you could "feel it in your bones" and pulled historical data about performance times as "receipts". Plus I knew last year Ed was gonna win because Divide and Shape of You were the most commercially successful song and album of the year. And both of them not being nominated for AOTY or SOTY/ROTY have it automatically locked. Plus MR and Joanne didn’t have that much momentum except for SB Halftime. This year, the situation is different. Shallow’s impact is undeniable. And it’s easily one of the most commercially and critically successful song of the year. And it’s already the third most awarded song of all time. Anything could happen but I have high hopes this year. Does it matter?
