Everyone here slating Bobby for not cashing in on those Payola spins, it’s because Gaga lets her music do the talking.

Ariana’s team are doing wonders this era to do everything they can to make it a success but it will just end in overexposure.

Gaga went through that a little herself after The Fame and The Fame Monster, I doubt she’d willingly do it again just for a #1

Yeah, I think the truth here is Gaga just doesn’t care about the carts anymore. Which tbh is kind of a bittersweet pill to swallow  because she deserves to have way more #1’s #5’s and Top 10s but love it or hate it the last four years have made the GP realize how fake she is and not just a dad and they are starting to appreciate that with Shallow and ASIB.

✨oh the lights dim while we’re dancing yeah the floor is shaking in this disco heaven✨

Dude, you think it's Gaga's fault?

Radios won't play Gaga regardless. They have an established bias against women over the age of 30. Not even Beyoncé could get significant airplay with Lemonade.

Lemonade wasn't mainstream at all so of course she wouldn't get much airplay

Sia, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Pink He Jennifer Lopez got plenty of hits over the age of 30

I'd say its more like after age 40 that it becomes really hard

It's not just artists not caring tbh I think record labels not caring is a big thing too

Artists that have been big for many years have established loyal fan basis and will make a lot of money on tours and stuff regardless if whether they still get hits or not. Many legends that haven't had hits in many years make more money annually that current popular pop stars

Younger artists need these hits to solidify their name long term in the industry

It therefore makes sense for a record label to focus prioritizing promo to create a new star that they can after cash on for many years, than to use all that promo on an established artist that will make lots of money regardless

Artists like Gaga, Beyonce, Britney Spears will make almost as much money on tours and stuff whether or not they get any more top 10s...

The same can't be said of newer artists

Although soon Ariana Grande will start entering that phase of her career too (she isn't brand new anymore) but perhaps because she's still so young she's got enough marketable years left that her team might figure it still makes sense to try to push success to the max for now in terms of hits and GP exposure

We cab all respect this but a little help is always great... If you want the world to know about your last masterpiece you definitely need radios on your side

Maybe the radio should try something new for a change

Pop country was risky to honest and I'm sure Interscope knew it would be hard to push the album on the radio WW

Just look at how much they discounted MR to milk it after Carpool and SB... They still haven't discounted Shallow and it is still slaying Itunes at #1 everywhere

What I mean is that Joanne music never really click but who cares that doesn't mean next album will have issues on the radio.

Not disagreeing with you but Adele has just hit 30 I wouldnt use her as an example

But u could mention Gwen Stefani on that list she was over 30 with most of her solo hits and Madonna had many hits after 30 as well

And to add to this Mariah scored 3 more #1 hits after the age of 35

Can we uhh, get Scooter to replace Bobby?

I’m still waiting for him to retire or go on his own business venture like her old stylist (forgot his name).

Bloody hooker

Did y’all forget that Gaga did something similar when ARTPOP was released? It was for iHeartRadio as well.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
