Supersonic 49,376
She follows the likes of Elton John, the Spice Girls and the late David Bowie in collecting the honour Pink will be honoured at the 2019 BRIT Awards with the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. The award has not been presented at the BRITs since 2012, when Blur were the recipients. Other previous winners of the prize include Sir Elton John, the Spice Girls and the late David Bowie. Pink will be this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, and she’ll receive the honour during The O2 Arena-hosted ceremony in London on February 20. swakby 4,100
I like that they don’t give the award every year like the VMAs. This makes them more relevant and trustworthy. Good for P!nk. She deserves it

freebit 6,240
Great news for her, but Pink hasn't been around that long IMO. Ancients like Elton I understand, but Pink is still in her thirties.

I feel like the Spice Girls are the exception here because they're basically a legacy group that hasn't been fully active in quite some time and live on mainly in British music history. Edit: Wait, I read you wrong and they received it in 2000. Mess, lol.

DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Good for her, she’s been around for 19 years now! Well deserved. Even though the last album didn’t have hits (well, we can call “What About Us” a mediocre hit), the last album sold really well. So her career is still alive and kicking. Slow and steady wins the race
AlexanderMagno 10,746
Pink is a great singer, and she has a really huge success (at least in Europe, radio loves to pick her up and almost everyone likes her). But I still don't see how "outstanding" her music is. She's a hitmaker who does easy pop-rock songs for the radio (or maybe that's an achievement, since she has consistently delivered that)
