Did Witness do better than Prism in some aspect?

Personally. I think it had more GUTS conceptually compared to Prism. Just wasn’t executed properly.:vegas:

and the CTTR video blows all Prism vids out of the water imo:music:

I am a fellow lurker and have not posted or replied often on this site. I'm also prepared to get dragged by any narrow minded GGster. However I feel VERY strongly that Witness is EXTREMELY underrated and definitely fell flat due to poor singles/choices/branding. Witness is hands down her best album and one of my top 10 of this decade. The lyrics, production, and raw emotion is unmatched by many Shallow.mp3 albums nowadays.  I also believe it has very few filler songs, perhaps just Mind Maze, Witness, and Tsunami. Every other song is either a bop or a very solid pop ballad. If people actually sat down and listened to it instead of jumping on the hate train perhaps they would agree.

The sun will rise each day. Will you?

Yes. When it comes to production and musical diversity, Witness takes the crown. On PRISM, Katy's voice is way TOO loud, and the album is crafted as a pop body of work, full of radio-friendly tracks. Every song could have been a single in my opinion. But Witness is better. The songs are not much radio-friendly, but have very interesting production, and I would say the lyrics are better too.

I'm one of those weird people who think Witness is her best album, actually lol. I really enjoy it. Most of her other albums feel so disjointed and slapped together, I really enjoyed the consistency this time.

The tour was great too but I did prefer Prismatic. One of the best put together pop tours of the last few years tbh.

CTTR charted better than any PRISM single in the Ukraine

"The Ukraine" is incorrect both grammatically and politically, says Oksana Kyzyma of the Embassy of Ukraine in London.

"Ukraine is both the conventional short and long name of the country," she says. "This name is stated in the Ukrainian Declaration of Independence and Constitution."

The use of the article relates to the time before independence in 1991, when Ukraine was a republic of the Soviet Union known as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, she says. Since then, it should be merely Ukraine.

There is no definite article in the Ukrainian or Russian languages and there is another theory why it crept into the English language.

I am pretty sure that Hot'n'Cold was bigger in Ukraine.
