I don't think her last albums had the intention to be mainstream being that they were more introspective or jazz but in both those instances there could have been better promotion. Joanne was an improvemeng from ARTPOP, but still had its ups and downs, and when you come to think about it, most of the good stuff where collaborative efforts bewteen managements C2C - Tony’s label with Gaga’s label Super Bowl - Gaga’s management and the NFL ASIB - Interscope records but massively managed by WB My problem itself is not much with bobby or management, but more so with the creative team. But Joanne’s promotion was supposed to be less extraordinary. Album’s message is how good it feels to sometimes be minimalistic, family oriented, humble and happy with what you get. Promotion was just it. I’m sure when her new album comes out it’ll be whole another level of promotion. Let’s just wait and see before we judge. ****you 66 Posted February 3, 2019 Share Posted February 3, 2019 I agree with all that. In particular i’ve been in the room with her and her team twice when Gaga looked pretty tired and out of it. It seemed like they were dragging her along like a doll so she could complete the tasks needed to make that $$. It’s so hard when someone is famous at her level and people rely on her for their income. Of course they want to do what she tells them and yes her to death and make her happy. They probably don’t want to rock the boat and get fired if she gets mad. I think her promotion game has been pretty weak all around in recent years and albums compared to other artists.
