Might be, but what I really think they have is that addictive bittersweet mood. It makes you fall for them so badly. Plus, they are bops. It's a whole as an album. Sometimes a bit more subtle sure, but it talks about love, addiction, sex, passion, lust, and all comes together. I also LOVE the different genres they used. It's not just pop-R&B, it's dance, slow-jam, bubblegum, deep house, synths, trap, all mixed up and yet it sounds so freaking good and cohesive! It's the perfect example of good use of music references. Overall, it's an emotional album. It's the only album I like from Ariana (and apparently it was not her most personal of even the one where she had the biggest input), and I'm not expecting to become a fan of her, because I really don't like anything else she has released. Just sad that Arina wasn’t that huge when this album was released. It definitely deserved so much more.
