Gaga can’t have 271828 metaphors in the songs because that’s not the audience it’s directed to. Her early albums were directed to be pop, but have some hidden meanings. That’s what made her interesting. Now that she has everyone’s attention, she could put out a safer sound and album because that’s what she needed at the time.
