Gaga's biggest and most defining hits have always been non trend pandering.

TEOG was one of the safest songs she could've ever released and it is one of her defining hits. TEOG is also one of her best songs :flower: There's nothing wrong in making trendy music as long as it's good.

We have Ariana for that. Gaga can do better. (nothing against Ari, I love her)

Tbh I hope LG6 tracks are relatable so the fans can connect with them and the GP too. Guaranteed success :flower:

We have to accept that a POP album is a risk to Gaga's career in THIS MOMENT.

She has the GP on the palm of her hand, and she has to be clever and careful if she doesn't want to lose it.

I think a Ballad/Country album is in coming, and later a pop (full of bops) album.

Am I reading this right? Dont forget that Gaga is still a POP STAR in the public s eye and they ALL know she makes pop music :emma:

Pop music doesnt need to be shallow, she can still tell a story. I think her next lead might have some social message, like BTW

I don't think so. Releasing a pop album is What Pink did after Funhouse (Pop Rock) and The Truth About Love was nearly as successful. I don't see the risk. As long as it isn't BTW or ARTPOP 2.0 everything is fine.

We already know Gaga... a new POP album would be exactly a BTW/ARTPOP 2.0, it would be like "CrazyGA is back b**ches" :ladyhaha:

Don't get me wrong, I want more than anybody a new BTW/ARTPOP era, I need Gaga's craziness in my life, but I think that it wouldn't be smart.

I don't want that because she's Lady Gaga. We had now multiple albums and ASIB that portrayed her as down to earth girl of the people. I want the larger-than-life Gaga. Someone who isn't like everyone else. This doesn't need to be CrazyGa but something more extravagant than what we get from pop lately.

There's nothing sonically safe about TEOG in the context of 2011 pop radio. It's got quite a unique sounding production.

Making good music is more important than success, Idc if LG6 is gonna be bigger than TF/TFM if it's gonna be her TU,N, than i would prefer if she didn't release it

We're far from the Shallow now

For her to win, she needs to release something that pushes boundaries lyrically and sonically. TU,N did not do that :ohwell:

2011 was the revival year of the saxophone and soundwise it was pretty safe and tame. This isn't meant to be a criticism of the song, which is not only one of my favorites but also one of Gagas objectively best songs. The song pandered to older audiences and it smashed the older audiences into pieces. Without TEOG BTW-era would've ended more abruptly and tragic than we could imagine.

I know, and i respect your opinion, but you gave yours, and I gave mine too, I've always loved Ari's singles, but TUN is her worst album by faaar to me, so I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, hope that Gaga doesn't go down that road :saladga:
