She tells a story of her friends that died of AIDs. You can feel the pain and sorrow in her voice that really forces the message onto the listener and makes them feel the sorrow she feels. That J - The majority of my score is simply due to this being a dedication to those precious people Madonna knew who had succumbed to the horrific AIDS dilemma which was still in a bad place back in 1992. Always a fighter and supporter for AIDS/HIV research, Madonna literally held the hand of a friend as he died from the disease. In This Life is for those people. A special and tender ballad. Not one I listen to alot but I love the message behind it. The Louvre - I know how meaningful this song is, I just can;t make myself seem to like it. I get bored. corvus albus - The Emotions make me sad. Extremely great but vulnerable vocal by Madonna that show her empathy for these two friends. It seriously such a great song. Listening to it every once in a while from now on. Hexxx - Beautiful song and I shed a tear from when I first heard it. Davian - Can’t get into this track at all... It feels like a 6 minute drag. The perfect cover of a classic song that Madonna makes steamier and even sexier! That J - My only complaint about Madonna's cover of this old age jam is it could have benefited from one round in the editing room. Other than going on 60 seconds too long, Fever is a disco tinged delight. Sensual vocals over a slamming beat add the correct feel for the 2nd track. This was also a hell of a performance on the tour for the album ..The Girlie Show. The Louvre - A classic song, but Madonna's version is not the best rendition corvus albus - I love this song! Great instrumentation considering that is just a cover and only very few covers can pass the original, but this one definitely did. swakby - Shout-out to Madonna’s impeccable vocals on this track!
