Why is it that the left is always asked to be centrist and to forget about the policies we believe in but the right can do whatever they want? Howard, stay the f*** out of politics. Centrism got us Trump.

Nnnnn "I don't think people should have the right to be healthy" is all I heard :huntyga:

What a joke. He's said before that AOC was the reason he started running. Because she wants Medicare for all, affordable college, and a higher tax for the rich. He's basically saying "I don't care about the poor, I want my wealthy friends and family members to be better off, so I'm running for president"

This is not even true :ladyhaha:

Name one single Democrat who was nominated who actually was a progressive.

We're trying to take the party in that direction because we've had enough centrism. The whole country is being pushed to the right and it's enough. People want a strong platform to get behind.

So let me get this straight: the guy who ran a company of burnt beans and flavored syrups is telling us what we ought to prioritize as an entire nation who does more than just produce burnt beans and flavored syrups? And that as a billionaire, taxing the wealthier more than the middle and lowest income households is beneficial somehow? Get out of here, long ears, and take your s*** coffee with you. If he cared about the country he'd listen to the scores of people that have slammed him since he announced his campaign and back tf out. But arrogance is as arrogance does. He doesn't care about America for all, it's America for him. Peace, son.

You guys.... he is so delusional. He actually thinks he can beat any of the two nominees.

I'm convinced he is threatening to run because he doesn't like that the Democratic party is moving more to the left. And if he runs he basically will secure Trump's second term.

I hate that billionaires think free health care and free higher education will bankrupt the U.S. but they will readily accept any tax cut or tax right off they can get their greedy hands on.

This shít make me want to boycott Starbucks just because they let this prick be CEO and I'll boycott any company that decides to employ him in the future too. Fúkc him.

I don't think any of them seriously think they can win. Every political scholar has made a point of saying that the first past the post system does not work with third parties. They don't win the presidency, but they will upset things a bit before things going back in line. There's no way he feasibly thinks he could win; it's just wall street trying to continue to impact the elections as they are scared of a progressive democrat potentially winning. They'd rather have malleable Trump in all his volatility than Sanders or Warren (neither of whom would win btw)

He wants the Democrat nominee to lose because someone like him has a lot to lose with a progressive President in office. So his plan is to run, win enough votes to ensure Trump wins key swing states and eventually the election. The Democrat loses and he gets another tax cut from Trump to buy another yacht. If he officially runs, I will boycott Starbucks. Dunkin >> Starbucks anyways.

Wrong.

No, it's correct to a degree.

Hillary was a more centrist candidate and she failed to get a lot of those Bernie people who would've voted Dem behind her.

Hillary people would've supported a Dem regardless, so if Bernie won the primary, he would likely be the president.

He's not the one being asked to be a centrist. He's the one asking others (aka Dems as he's "slamming" them for being too left) to be centrists.

He should run as a democrat or a republican. This independent third party nonsense would split the votes, most likely causing the republican to win. See what Ralph Nader did when he ran in the past. I think Schultz could do the most good by running as a republican and trying to get that party to come closer to the center, or at least shiv republicans during the entire primary season during their party debates.
