Honestly Britney and Xtina should retire from the music industry and find whats suits them at this point of their career. Its not working girl. Just my opinion.

Liberation and Glory were both amazing/great albums tho

What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂

no hate, no shade, but i wish that all of the residencies in vegas would start abysmally flopping so that artists should go on world tours again. the only ones who haven't/don't have a residency are madonna and janet smh. enough already. :awkney: i guess money > fans. :awkney:

I feel like more and more residencies will start happening, bringing more competition and everyone will end up struggling to sell tickets. Just in last days were announced Cardi B, Mark Ronson, Xtina, Drake, probably even more soon.
And that sucks for fans from all around the world who can't afford to pay a trip to Vegas

My guess is that the residence is an extension of the Liberation Tour she did last year. Like, same concept, set list, I don’t know lol

Yea that’s probably it :cryga:

“Liberation Tour” :oprah:

*tour definition*

- a journey made by performers or a sports team, in which they perform or play in several different places.

What is she touring? Her stage in Zappos theater? :saladga:

The residency is a part of her tour.

Just like Bruno did many shows at Park Theater during his 24K Magic tour

Gaga said that the most important thing for her would be to have a family and these residencies often happen when they want to get pregnant then have the baby and slowly go back to concerts without the travels fatigue.

Gaga already said she wished it would be renewed so I'm sure she want to get married now she has a fiancé then be a mom with this more mommy-like Vegas worktime. :D

Totally thinking back when her manager said some snobby comment about doing vegas residencies

September 2015 interview:

Pauly asked Irving if Xtina would be ready for a Vegas residency anytime soon, a topic that Irving wasn’t willing to entertain for long.

“Not time yet,” Irving responded. “[Christina’s] about to go back on The Voice, about to finish her record, about to do another guest shot on Nashville and the record’s amazing.”

Okay, all good — that is, until Pauly pressed the subject further. He asked if Irving would entirely rule out a Vegas residency for Xtina, to which Irving served this gloriously subtle hint of shade: “No disrespect to Britney [Spears] or to Jennifer Lopez, who is doing one, or to Shania [Twain], who did one, or any of them, but Christina’s not peaked yet. She’s in the prime of her career. We’ll tour the world, but we’re not ready to sit down in Vegas.”

I always thought her manager was so dumb for those comments, and it made him seem out-of-touch as to what residencies were becoming, and like he was living in 2002.

Ugh I'm hating this whole residency thing. It'll kill the concept of touring, the whole culture of that. I also think that it'll put a limit to creativity of artists since especially songwriters are almost always influenced by the places they tour. Just look at TFM and it's North-European influences.

Or maybe I'm reaching because I'm bitter, but facts are facts America :pole:

I suspect its because theres been a bit of decline in live music, I think what's happening to festivals are the first casualties. Vegas obviously pays well, so I don't blame these established acts for going there. I think Vegas acts can still tour though, like Britney did last year is a good example.

True-and it’s so much easier on the artist than having to tour

Sorry but it's getting lit because of Gaga. Britney opened the door a little after Celine, that was all. By that point, and even now, no matter how you spin my words, Britney's star has faded. She was a "Vegas act" to some degree. Britney has been doing residencies for years now and she didn't have much influence. Gaga is still very much in her prime, she's still huge. Gaga starts hers and now everyone is starting to announce residencies. I predicted this and more will follow. Katy will 100% follow by how her career is looking. Can't say she has the raw talent to build up her career like Gaga has done since 2014. I don't know if I like this residency trend becoming a thing though. For reasons stated by others on here. Vegas is great for Gaga's body though, the jazz is easily her most well executed tour of all time. She was born to play that jazz + piano show.

just my perspective.
