Defmix100 6,374
I don't know if this is in the right category thing I have hardly any information unfortunately but have been wanting this song for years now. I heard it on a compilation album my dad had made possibly in 2012 but the song could be older, never heard it on radio or anyone talk about it (as in she is not a big pop singer). I've asked him about it but he had gotten rid of all those CD mixes he used to make and cannot think of what the song or who the singer could be. The song has a creepy dreamlike sound to it, she doesn't sing powerfully but has a smooth voice. Production isn't harsh either, I mainly remember kick drum and possibly church bells with the rest being acoustic instruments. It always sounded like the sort of song where the music video could show vampires gliding through a graveyard. Two things that come to my mind are the moon and the name Michelle - but I have no idea if the moon is related to the lyrics/title or just part of the mental image the song conjured, and the name Michelle feels right but to be honest it could be completely unrelated, I thought I should mention that just to be safe though. Now the most annoying part is I don't remember any lyrics except the hook being haunting "Oooooooo"'s sung by her (no choir or anything). This melody in the link below is the only melody that ever comes to mind when I try and think of this song but I cannot even be certain if this is the actual melody or if it is something similar. I really hope this rings a bell with someone as it's been years that I've been looking for this. Thanks! https://vocaroo.com/i/s0AQxvPqgcjq

ARTPOPSTER 4,246
The melody reminds me of Michelle by The Beatles, but you said a woman sings it.
