The vast majority of them voted for Clinton. 88%, significantly more than Clinton voters who voted for Obama in 2008. Bernie's supporters support him for his policies. If he abandoned his principles, they'd abandon him too. The fact that he's from a family of jewish immigrants that came to America to escape the Holocaust (several on his father's side died in concentration camps) who's used that cultural history to fight for oppressed peoples for 40 years, supporting LGBT causes since the 70's and being arrested protesting segregated housing on his college campus a few years before Biden was working to oppose racial integration, is just icing on the cake. All his campaign promises will never happen because of congress. So basically nothing will get accomplished. Come back in 2200. Also, Bernie is not popular with black voters (the stats support it) and that's an important vote to have in order to beat Trump.
