I know your comment was kidding, but nonetheless. It's obviously a parody of the "sexy tan blonde Barbie" type woman, and it was inspired by her trip to Japan where she learned about Harajuku styles such as Ganguro, which is also a parody of the tan blonde Barbie, and which this look was probably inspired by. But nooooo people just wanna earn asspats for jumping on the "BLACKFACE CANCELDT" train. Even though it is honeslty offensively ignorant to say that. If Gaga's look is racist against anyone, it's appropriating Japanese Ganguro culture.... which is based on a rebellion against traditional, pale-and-natural Japanese (one might say white-centric?) beauty standards. So who is really the racist (Answer = no one in this situation) Even though the word "ganguro" literally translates to "face black" or "face dark", it's not referencing African features. It's just literally a tanned and darkened face. https://japanesefashiontrends.wordpress.com/ganguro-yamanba-and-manba/ My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <

I don't know why people struggle to see that. I mean, clearly she wouldn't leave the hotel looking like that because it is obvious that it's a tan failure. She wasn't seen anywhere else with that tan other than that interview and the photo shoot so it's clearly just for the shoot. Fans still use the photo to mock her, not realising that they just don't get it.
