Which outfits are you saying? And didn't all her outfits go overboard at that time.

A "single era" is the period of time inside an album era when the artist promotes their current single from that album. hmmm
Dancin 1,120
I was trying to make the term "period" happen but it probably won't happen. Just so we had a difference between album promo cycles and singles promo cycles. hmmm

Just because the MV is flawless doesn’t mean she served looks 24/7 like the era after it which btw why tf isn’t TEOG era here. I have yet to find someone who doesn’t like TealGa. IMO thats her best era OT: 1. Telephone - Idc that this fan base hates Telephones because during this era she looked so ****ing gorgeous during some of those interviews, the piss yellow wig-complimented her so well. Also while Tara isn’t the best MUA in the world she really killed it this era (or whoever was her MUA lol) 2. Paparazzi- This was the beginning of her peak, and what I always live about this era was how she began the drastic transition into her TFM looks, because she looked really different in November 2009 compared to September 2009. (The power of makeup lol) 3. The Cure- This is so high SOLELY because like some user earlier mentioned, this was my first true era as a LM. The only reason I didn’t get to experience the Joanne era is because a) I didn’t get Apple Music until April 2017 (aka The Cure era) which was my first official streaming service. (I used to ask my mom to illegaly copy songs onto my phone, but I was too embarrassed to aske her to do a Gaga song lol) and b) I had a whole 8 years of Gaga videos to watch lol. 4/5 - Tie between Judas and Applause. Let’s just say it like it is, the Appaluse era was a MESS. She didn’t even want to release it as the lead, so she wasn’t that into it AND she completely abandoned the song after the era (yeah ik shes perfmormed it at the ArtRave and JWT but comparing it to BR and BTW and JD, you can tell when she’s not really feeling the lead single lol) Howeber at least she looked pretty during that era. I know the Little Judasters are gonna hate me for this but like half of the looks from that era were. I will admit tho at first it was cool, with the whole Cruella De Ville meets crazy cross lady aesthetic but after a while she got carried away and went overboard with it and now we have her most iconic DERP looks. You're very focused on "looks" tho She was committed to the message of Judas, and teased it for months. The song is a smash, and is still a fan favorite. It was controversial, unique, and dark. Not to mention the video, which was her directorial debut with LAG. And the aesthetic was very over-the-top which was exciting to see, even if you didn't like it. As for Applause, the hype was just as big as any BTW single, and there was a lot of excitement among the fan base. The I&V promo image that announced the single, the V magazine covers, Swinefest, the VMA performance, the incredible music video and the GMA release in Times Square. And if she "completely abandoned" it, then she wouldn't be singing it at every tour/show since it's release: Swinefest, ArtRave, Roseland, JWT, Enigma. She has literally continued playing Applause every opportunity she has lol, so I think it's safe to say you're wrong on that one.
