StrawberryBlond 13,287 Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 I kinda love how shady this whole thing is, it's like something dreamed up to stir controversy and damage artist's egos to think they could potentially be on thousands of people's block lists! Now, does this mean that before, regardless of how much you listened to a track from an artist that you didn't like (if it came on in a playlist and you immediately stopped/skipped it) that the artist didn't get any royalties from that couple of seconds of play? Because it sounds as if this was partly brought in to ensure that users could never complain that they're funding the lifestyles of artists they disapprove of due to this automatic playlisting giving them money even for a few seconds of play.
