Is BR actually this good? Rotten tomatoes/Metacritic score suggests otherwise. I am confusion.:icega:

Queen is an iconic band. As a longtime fan of them, it was nice to watch a movie describing the life of one of my faves. However there were some differences and extras added for 'dramatic effect' for the sake of the movie narrative and it annoyed me a bit. Like how Freddie came out when he never did and just didn't conform to any label.

She's going to be billed as AT LEAST "Oscar nominated actress Lady Gaga" in every movie she does from now on guys. This is really a big deal!

That's what my husband said. He finished it the night after cuz I was out for dinner lol

Still, The fact that there's ONE ****ING HOUR in which NOTHING happens other than: k she's pregnant. Look, 5 minutes of chidden running, look a random party which has nothing to do with anything, oh look fire, oh there we go again with the dog's ****, back home, the car doesn't fit in the garage (10 minutes), children running again, turning the house lights off (3 minutes)...

I don't get this critics thing of praising anything that's slow and has static images of nothing happening for minutes. Same goes for me with The Revenant, or 2001 Space Odyssey. Just to name some.

Once upon a time, some of y'all non believers who thinks y'all are true fans cos y'all, like, real, and not some blind fans, really believe ASIB will flop and will not nominated for any awards but Razzies. :ally:

But how it turns out now, it must have hurt your pride witnessing this huh?? :lmao:

In your face, bish! Kek! :lmao:

:awkney: I think its safe to say that a lot of people adopted a precautious mentality going into this campaign based on her acting in AHS and the fact that this project was destined to be quite a challenge to champion. Took years to green-light, debut actress, debut director, a story which has been told to death, it was never going to be recieved with such huge expectations.

Just because fans were a little bit skeptical and expected a less than impressive campaign doesn't make them fake fans, nor does it mean that they are currently seething at how they were, probably by their own admission, thankfully proven wrong.

I didn't think Bradley would win Director but I was 100% for a nomination!!! I'm legit in shock. He crafted every single scene so perfectly and they didn't acknowledge him :saladga:

I really thought he was on lock for a nomination :messga: he worked so hard this is a huge snub.

Roronoa Zoro

My predictions.

Roma- Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best foreign language film. And well deserved, it's the best movie of the year. A masterpiece

A Star Is Born. Best Original song and 80% Best Actress for our queen.

Three time Oscar nominated singer and actress, wow.

I think it will be a huge shock if Shallow doesn’t win.  I’m expecting Glenn to get BA and Green Book or Roma for BP.  think Rami Malek will win Best Actor unfortunately.

Such AMAZING news to wake up to!  That's alot of nominations and I am very excited. Thrilled for Sam!! I really think he has a strong chance. Shallow looks to have this in the BAG!

And Oscar nominated superstar Lady Gaga has a lovely ring to it!

I said before as long as she got the nomination, I would be thrilled and I am. Now I want her to win. Haha!!!

We did it!!!!

I think the following are the singers who got Oscar actress nominations:

Bette Midler, Peggy Lee, Queen Latifah, Diana Ross, Jennifer Hudson, Cher, Mary J Blige, Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Doris Day, and Lady Gaga

I was just looking at the graphic of the nominees for Best Actress. And seeing Lady Gaga among them. I nearly just cried.
