Monster7 5,697 Posted January 20, 2019 Share Posted January 20, 2019 Yes, it will get a lot of noms because it's very good in a lot of things, but not the best in any of them, except best original song, one of the two sound categories and best actress (I know Glenn Close deserves it more, but the Academy should give the award to the best performance of the year, and Gaga's far better than Close's). Best Actress is still a possibility, as well as Best Actor. Best Actress more likely than BActor I disagree. Zander 14,910 Posted January 20, 2019 Share Posted January 20, 2019 Getting an Oscar nomination is an achievement in itself. Huge deal for someone like Bradley where this is his first film. I would like to think even if he doesn’t pick up many awards in award season he’s still super happy that the film has received all these nominations and acclaim. I think the success of the film is something we as fans only dreamed of and it’s been a great journey seeing it come true. I would love to see ASIB take away at least 2. Even though it's BP chances already dropped big time, I'm still hoping it to win. If ASIB will manage to win both BA and Ensemble on SAG, it might still stand a chance for BP since acting is the biggest branch of the Academy. Anything can happen. ASIB will pull a surprise. We are used to see her slaying vocals. BUT in the movie singing is part of her acting, and I think a lot of people loved her for that. Its still part of her performance as an actress. It's honestly such a shame that ASIB isn't winning more awards. I'm also just even more annoyed that Bradley isn't winning anything.
