It’s not ALL government jobs... but it sucks for the ones who aren’t getting paid. I’m nervous to fly in a few weeks because TSA isn’t getting paid. Teachers and doctors etc are payed by States not Federal Government Same here in Canada. It's their responsibility to open the government, while hundreds of thousands of americans are being unpaid. I mean seriously. I don't like the wall but it's not something I would shut down the government for one month to prevent. I would let trump build it and have the people make a call on his presidency in 2020. When I read it, it read like one of his goddam Tweets The biggest giveaway was the improper grammar and capitalization. This man is unhinged. I do not think a president has ever stopped a CODEL like this. These are not "public relations" trips, these are serious BIPARTISAN diplomatic missions and a chance for our troops abroad to receive encouragement.
