she collaborated with beyonce and with florence. I get where you're coming from, but I think its kind of bad ass that she doesnt need any feat. to be relevant. She can do collaborations with young artists when she gets older, maybe like Britney

I think, in her pursuit to be seen as a legend, she only acknowledges people who can give a legendary status, aka well-established legends. That is something I don't like tbh, since, as you say, it makes her seem elitist and out of touch. If she was as humble as she pretends to be, she'd be more open to her actual peers.

Gaga has always worked with the new artists and acknowledges them, is just that you don’t see it because their work is mostly for producing like Zedd, Fernando Garibay was very new when he worked on BTW. 

Plus if she doesn’t feel connected to modern songs why would she sing them? Just to gain more popularity by hanging from other fan bases? We all know Gaga is not about that
