Neither.

Gaga need to turn this down so does Angelina.

What's the point of the back lash for this role?

The backlash would be stupid because Cleopatra is to the very very least 50% greek /macedonian and possibly more than 90% greek/macedonian.

Cleopatra's dynasty , the Ptolemies, originated from Macedonia, but that was around 236 years before she was even born. Since 305 BCE when the dynasty was formed and Egypt was ruled by a Ptolemy, the Ptolemies had remained in Egypt. Ptolemies on official documents appear to have married each other and into other Macedonian families that ruled other parts of Alexander's empire but that doesn't factor the sheer number of mistresses, concubines and other wives that altered the family tree and genetic pool. Not to mention we have many gaps in the family tree simply because theres no documentation or early deaths etc. Scholars today agree that after the first 3 Ptolemies it's Almost impossible to say that all others were completely Macedonian. It's incredibly likely that Cleopatras mother was an African Egyptian woman who was a mistress of her father. DNA anaylsis of Cleopatra's sister (who's body we have found) shows she has a substantial amount of African ancestry. It's incredibly likely that Cleopatra had african anvestry and must have very obviously appeared biracial atleast. Not to mention the sun and heat in Egypt that would have increased the melanin in her skin making her appear even darker. Cast a black or biracial woman for this role.

African doesn't mean black.

Macedonian+Northern African doesn't necessarily means biracial.

Northern African people even before Arabs were caucasians, trust me.

Have you ever travelled to Mediterranean? Well I am from Mediterranean and people from all of the countries (north and south and east) are not that different. Ancient people travelled in that f****ing sea a lot, even more than now, they were mixed. We are mixed.

On the contrary black subsaharian african had lesser contact with Mediterraneans due to a desert you know?

The fact that she was in Egypt taking sun and producing melanin doesn't mean anything. People from southern Europe are dark skinned like half of the year.

Gaga can take sun and that would not be racism.

I mean please educate yourself.

A black Cleopatra would be the real mess here.

Search egyptian women on google and you will finally see they are caucasians. Some are light skinned other not but not black or biracial.

Honestly I found some tea, and Miss Cleopatra is Greek... which is right near Italy. She wasn’t black. So Gaga totally fits this role bc she’s als an ordinary looking southern euro person of tint

Why does that thumbnail look like Eminem in a wig

Lol, Cleopatra was Greek anyway even though she was the Queen of Egypt. Gaga can have the role, she’s Italian and Greece/Italy had a close relationship and shared everything.

I really hope Gaga gets this role. I'd love to see her in this type of setting. She'd kill it.
