I see nothing wrong with that... I’m gay and I have never ever done anything for the gay community... I’m I homophobic? NO

I Just don’t support gay parades for example because they don’t go with what I believe a parade should be like...Gay parades are nothing but sexuality, where’s the floats that represent that we can also live as normal as others without making it all sexual, why walk almost naked instead of dressing casually and show that we are far more than just “sex” “hot bodies”? :saladga:

I still understand Kevin’s point and it should be respected. Don’t act like you guys don’t make straight jokes or have ever offended anybody else before. Most of y’all still use the N word so chill and let him be

This is the worst analogy you could make with this situation. And it seems to me, you like to uphold Heteronormativity by saying "Queer people are just like Straight people." We're not. The fight over same-sex marriage and our right to simply exist has always been at it's core about the Othering that Heteronormative society has placed upon Queer people. Our modern message is that it's okay to be different and that our differences are what makes us unique and individuals. Not the "same." We have created our own culture underground in response to this adversity. From Drag to Slang, we had to build ourselves up because nobody wanted gay people. The Lavender Scare extended all over.

But back to this bich Kevin Hart.

Kevin Hart is in this mess because he made a "joke" about normalizing Child Abuse. And he never apologized for it. His interview in Rolling Stone, he only said he wouldn't say it anymore because "the times are too sensitive." That's not an apology then, it's not a apology now. His statements resurfaced and, given another change to apologize, he refused.

And now a third time with Don Lemon, he does not. That tells me all I need to know about him. He'll rant about racism and it's prejudices but can't see why his "joke" was prejudice itself?

There's people that do bad things and people that see bad things and let them go on . Both are bad people.

What if he is that kind of man who doesn't wipe until shower time in the morning because wiping is gay? :diane:

Yes, these kind of people exist.

The kinds of mental gymnastics people will do to defend a homophobe, even when he's telling to your face that he doesn't want to be an ally. Whew, feels so good to have been right about him all along.

Whether I like it or not, whether you like it or not, that is his right…he can do that and you can feel about it however you want.”

This is a very true statement imo though

After already being seen as homophobic in the past it would be SO EASY for him to say "yes I am an ally of the LGBT community now". He doesn't have to DO anything just literally say those words.

The fact that he refuses to do so speaks VOLUMES :nails:

I guess I’m different

I stand by my point, why can’t you let me be different? Why do I have to have the same point of view as you?

See you are assuming by what I wrote that I’m saying that queers and straights are the same and that’s not the point, my point is that I don’t like that lifestyle and it’s ok... I don’t like gay parades because they don’t bring anything positive to the table but sexuality, that’s my point of view and it’s ok to be different and have different points of view. Case close

OT: Kevin is entitled to his own opinion. As he can also be different...

But if you don’t agree and stand by his opinions than just simply don’t support any of his work
