Oyster 2,458
Gaga is a marketing genius honestly and she knows how to call attention to her art, in a good way. Do you guys think the repetitive "100 people in room" was done on purpose to become a topic of interest? When the press jokes about it, it's not degrading but light hearted. I have a feeling gaga knew what she was doing and found a brilliant way to call attention to her and Bradley's relationship on set, to the point that everyone knows this meme and it became a golden globes highlight. If it was intentional, honestly that's just brilliant.
GypsyBabe 22,836
Gaga always knows what she’s doing and how to properly promote herself. So yes, I think it was intentional and worked in her favor. Either way, it’s hilarious. ⚯͛
AlexanderMagno 10,746
Imagine you have dozens of interviews every day, and in every interview they ask you the same questions. To the same question, you will have the same answer only this time it got much more ridiculous Also, I do think this is how Gaga feels about her connection with Bradley Cooper, and we know she's the type of person who worries a lot about spreading her message and making people really hear what she truly wants to say, so of course she repeats herself a lot. I'm not sure it was her intention to create this sort of meme impact, because she has that kind of personality that is always very eager to make sure everyone understands what she has to say, but anyway it had its impact. vitoburrrito 642
I'm not sure if it was her or a PR person on her team (or both) that came up with it, but it makes sense to come up with an anecdote that you can repeat throughout a press tour where people ask you the same questions over and over again. I don't think she intended for it to become a viral, humorous meme though.
Guest
It caused her to lose the Golden Globe... so, yes I think it was intentional but it backfired. 1 hour ago, GypsyBabe said: Gaga always knows what she’s doing and how to properly promote herself. Also, it didn't really work in her favor since she lost the Globe in what was supposed to be her moment because she came off disingenuous... they even joked about how everyone thought it was disingenuous on live TV

I believe it did since it's all about politics in Hollywood but if you don't agree that's ok
Shipper 13,077
Well I remember during the Joanne era, when she was promoting PI in numerous radio stations she had this script she kept on saying whenever she was asked the same questions. I watched numerous interviews of her and at some point I had to stop because she was saying the same things over and over again. It takes a really good interviewer and her to be comfortable to veer away from her script and get something new from her. But yeah so I guess having a script works for her then, and she figured having a script during interviews works for ASIB promo as well. We underestimate how many interviews she was doing for a promo so I don't blame her for saying this again and again. So yes. She was doing a scripted response BUT she did not intend for it to be a marketing ploy or turned to a meme. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
