Arya is a trained assassin my ass.

She can't even save herself from rubble, let alone passing a bunch of WW and killed a NK.

This season has serious writing issues.

Bear

They did not just end Cersei like that :neyde:  After everything she has done to succeed she at least deserved a glorious death. Dying with Jaime was poetic but it needed more screen time and drama imo.

Dany is cancelled :neyde:

She was clearly disorientated. They showed that at one point when she's running down the alley way and bumps into people confused about where to run. Plus she probably had a concussion.

Trained assassins aren't invincible and there was literal chaos around her.

I'm planning to read the books this summer after the horrible damage D&D have caused these last two seasons. Someone who read them, are they better than seasons 1-5? Also, I read that book 6 is already finish and will be published later this year so I won't have to wait years for the next book

If trained assassins arent invincible, then Arya should be dead. The bad writing of this season is on another level. Too bad for the actors and directors.

Well, I have now slept over what I watched last evening and I just :toofunny:

Dany becoming mad could have been a very interesting story arc, but how this went down was just BAD. Her going mad because of the bells ringing? It was the most idiotic thing I ever watched on TV. If they wanted to blow up the whole city, why did they not use Cersei? She was so misused this season, I can't believe it. It was so unbelieveable that in previous season she was doing really bad stuff, but then we suddenly had to feel bad for her and her unborn child that she got from her BROTHER. Mh, No. I wished Cersei would have gone done as a badass villainous character but nope. Don't get me started on Jamie. I really thought he was over Cersei because he slept with Brienne and he said in previous season that he never slept with someone else than Cersei... And then THIS.

I knew that the war at King's Landing would never be done nice and clean, people would die, no way or the other but it also is a matter on how you set things up. Dany's madness was never properly hinted at (yes she said stuff, but it had never been a topic - it was never questioned before what she did and it only happened in the last few episodes...). We only knew stories from other characters about her family. She was always set up as a different Targaryen as someone who might rule well. Suddenly she is unfit for the throne because she was turned into a hysterical woman. I really thought all the characters hinting at her going mad would be a red herring so we would see Dany triumph in NON-madness... ah I was so naive.
(I was thinking here that we could see a nice deconstruction like with Jon's father, who we thought was horrible but the truth revealed a completely different picture... imagine that with Dany proving to be a sane and just leader... ah yes so naive)

I am haunted by this episode but not in a good way. It also frustrates me that Dany, a feminist icon, gets framed as the bad one now, so her male counterpart can be framed as the sane one, the only one who is made to lead. Cersei was only a shadow of herself this episode, I was so disappointed by her literally doing nothing. Girl, she was ready to kill herself in Season 2 when the Battle of Blackwater happened. Arya, also an disappointment. That she not went with the hound was kinda a nice touch and I thought she would lead people out of the city in the end but I was so wrong here too. Don't get me started on Sansa. Sansa is also a victim of D&D like Dany is, also ruining her character completely. She gets now framed for all the bs because she told Jon's secret to others. Sansa was in the position to be a good Lady of Winterfell, but now she is just Littlefinger 2.0 and I'm like :spin:
It could have been a nice touch if women would have gotten the stories and positions they deserve, in a world where men lead, ruin and mess up everything. Enpowering. What we got is a bad tragedy...

Also, about the leaks:

Spoiler

If Bran really becomes the king, I will go mad myself because nobody ever would have seen that coming. His story was dropped so hard after the NK was defeated and it would come out of nothing. Bran's storyline had never to do with the Iron Throne directly, he is more rooted in the WW and magic plot and lord I will go mad if the leaks are true. It makes NO SENSE.

Jon going into exile :spin: but let's be real, they did not know anymore what to do with him after taking the NK away from him... I like Jon and I hate how they also ruined his character.

I have a weird feeling Arya and Sansa will be executed. :spin:

Sorry for writing so much again but my mind is on fire :spin:

She should use her ninja move to avoid those people. Just saying.

You're right about that. She got slammed around so hard. She would have been dead after all that.

At this point she should Dracarys all of the Starks as well and those in Winterfell. They all betrayed her. :fthis:

She was disorientated with a severe head injury.

She couldn't run or climb because the walls were crumbling around her and the dragon was blocking every escape route because it was flying around and breathing fire everywhere. Also, the wildfire bombs were going off. At one point she tried to run one way and the crowd dragged her along in the other direction.

The whole point was for her to be caught up in it like an innocent civilian. She witnessed all the horror and she felt what they felt. She was just as vulnerable as they were. And now it's given her the motivation to go after Daenerys.

It would have been ridiculous if she miraculously saved herself. She's an assassin not a superhero. And I'm sure plenty of people would be complaining more if she got out of it without a scratch.

Tyrion wasn't born to incestual parents with madness in their blood though. You guys forget this is something she has been struggling with since season 4. She's tried to suppress it which means it almost surfaced. It's not that shocking she went mad like her father tbh.
