REALITY 77,383 Posted January 6, 2019 Share Posted January 6, 2019 I love Marvel and I really liked Black Panther, but that movie is so ****ing overrated, it's nuts. I love what BP did for African Americans and giving them more representation, but if I'm being honest, the only reason why I think that it did that well was because of that representation aspect. The movie itself was good, but there was nothing breath-taking, in my opinion. If people want to talk about possible Oscar buzz, they should talk about Avengers Infinity War. People were hugely curious about ASIB - that huge line @ TIFF where they couldn't fit the media who wanted to screen and review it into the theatre with the line stacked up through the building was legendary. I feel like even the elitist reviewers were happy to have something fun to talk about and experience instead of the usual high brow First Reform-like movies (I respected First Reformed, so this is not a drag).
