The success of LG6

How successful do y'all think LG6 will be? 

Did ASIB bring the locals back? 

I think she’ll have a top 10 hit with her lead FOR SURE if it’s pop, possibly top 5 if it’s a strong song with current sounds. 

I’m not certain about where the album will peak yet, obviously within the top 2, but it depends if she releases at the same time as like Rihanna. If no one else releases at the same time then she’s got the #1 in the bag. 

But do you think the success of ASIB will impact LG6?

I think if she comes back with something akin to The Cure / Heal Me... but if she comes back with something similar to Perfect Illusion, it'll flop sorry 

I don't think the success of ASIB will be repeated just because having it in cinemas is constant promotion indirectly and soundtracks seem huge now (The Greatest Showman affect) but I do think it's put her back on the GP's radar which will help.

At this point I really don't know anything  . This whole cult site with its meltdowns made this pre-LG6-era so messy I can't even think clear about it  .

I agree. She needs a strong pop album. ASIB definitely gave her a 2nd prime of sorts. I haven't been an active fan since 2013 but ASIB brought me back from 6 feet under. She needs to follow that up with a strong album so she won't lose the momentum with the GP.

I don't think she should do current sounds, she needs to do something new, or older should I say, possibly something like a modern 80's genre, like Born This Way, Just Dance, and Poker Face, very modern 80's sounding if that makes sense, we need a catchy song that'll catch us right away that's not complicated, like even Applause for instance, not everyone enjoyed it, but it's still a favorite in pop history, and you can learn the lyrics very fast making the song easy to enjoy. So yeah, maybe not a lot of people liked Perfect Illusion, but I loved it, so either way, I'll probably love whatever lead single she releases, and that's all I care about

she's beyond fashion and beyond the charts, so i don't really care. i just want her to show the new b*tches how to do great, epic pop again like BTW. if it does well, that's cool.

i feel like she seems to be going toward a concept album of some sort, if all this video game stuff holds up... that would be cool and current, but maybe not so accessible to le locals. so, who knows.

It all depends on that first single I have no idea what sound she will or should go for I would be so ****ing lost if I were her rn, I really don't envy her  

I just wish she'd work her ass off on a modern classic. Like, imagine if Chic didn't exist and she released her version of I Want Your Love rn, that would become the new Uptown Funk in a heartbeat. I want a song of hers that can rival her old hits and slay young people and adults alike

It really depends on the music but unfortunatly this time we have to keep in mind that every pop girl is about to release an album this year, she should have a good timing to get some good promotion slots.

At this point, I really do not know what to expect. I learned that not caring about the charts makes me a happier stan. I do want Gaga to have tremendous success commercially but there are other ways for her to prove her naysayers wrong you know. She can have a successful tour (I think Gaga is heading in that direction where her tours are going to make her a TON of money), she can win awards, gain respect amongst snobby music critics or in general, have a positive public perception on her. I am sorry if I sound preachy but I don't think we should base all of Gaga's success with how she does on the charts. 

And to answer your question, I think her album will be top 5 and maybe 2 singles that are between 7 and 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. I think she will do well internationally though, just not in the US. I think ASIB success will definitely help her as she has a bigger audience looking at her now and one that takes her seriously.

tbh it totally depends on the music. If she is planning ARTPOP 2.0, it will flop harder than witness.

 

If the songs are dancey and catchy tunes ala a mixture of TFM/1989 era and like light hearted pop love songs it might be a smash of ASIB level. Overall it will be very hard for her to top ASIB success.

I think the best time would be to release before the 3rd schedule of Vegas this year Aka first week of October. This way it wont clash with ASIB at the grammys 2020 and she will have new music to perform at future vegas shows
