Gaga's original plan for the Born This Way singles

This thread kind of goes hand in hand with @GlitterandTeeth 's thread.

We all know that Gaga's original plan for the BTW singles was to have ten of them. Here's how I think they should have released and how they would have realistically charted.

1. Born This Way (#1)

2. Hair (#3)

3. The Edge of Glory (#3)

4. You and I (#8)

5. Marry The Night (#4)

6. Judas (#12)

7. Scheisse (#29) flopping because of the "weirdness" of the song

8. Bad Kids (#7) at this point, overexposure would start to kick in, as well as controversy, causing the last two singles to flop

9. Government Hooker (#36)

10. Black Jesus + Amen Fashion (#65)

I think in that lineup, TEOG would go number one (tbh it only didn't because of Judas)
A radio edit of Scheiße would help, and Bad Kids (Feat. Ke$ha) would be cool

It should been like this
1. Born this way #1
2. The edge of glory #1
3. Schisse top 5
4. Marry the night top 10
5. You and i US only single
After these i think the rest would flop but these still deserved videos and some performances
6. Hair
7. Heavy Metal Lover
8 Bloody Mary
9.Americano

I think they would all be within top 20. Weird or not, there's something magical about all her songs.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

yeah you're probably right besides the Kesha part. I love her, but I don't think she would've been a good fit on any BTW song

she/interscope really missjudged TEOGs power, it should been the official 2nd single sent with radio deals and have an epic story driven video with the budget Judas had, shoot already before release. Now we got a rush released 3rd single with a video that took 2 months to get out and it was only 1 set/ 1outfit/no story and people instead hated on gaga because of the Judas/btw backlash. The song was still huge but it could been on Poker face/bad romance level, i have never heard on person hating on the song

the biggest mistakes of the BTW era were Judas as a single and the heavy visual. The songs could connect easily with more people, but Gaga pushed them away. Either way, it was a success.

I would have gone like this..

1. Marry The Night

2. Born This Way

3. Edge Of Glory

4. You and I

5. Heavy Metal Lover

6. Judas/Bloody Mary 2 way single

7. Bad Kids

Honestly she kind of became over played with the singles she had so anymore and I dont see them working at all.

I just never found Judas to hurt her as bad as others think. It did peak in the top 10 here in America, it's a fan favorite, the video is amazing and she quickly rushed out Edge Of Glory right behind it.

So while it put a slight dent into her string of monster hits, she came back from it. It wasn't a complete disaster.

I agree that Edge deserved a HUGE video which would have helped the song a tad more. The only issue I had with Edge at the time was how so insanely overproduced it was. I've come to appreciate the production over time tho.

I read once that MTN was intended to be the lead single but her label didn't agree with her.

Also HML was supposed to be the 6th single.

Okay TEOG had potential, but you're telling me you would sacrifice Judas MV  for a number one :triggered:

MTN was the orginal lead single planned but was later changed because it just made more sense to release born this way as the lead since they wanted the message to get out.
