No offence but y’all truly snapped. What do you want, for everyone to safely learn and grow from their past selves, or for there to forever be hatred in the world so you can look good when you fight against it (you don’t)?

This interview is clearly a PR stunt. Have the accused homophobe on the lesbian's talk show, have her act like she's the spokesperson for the gay community and say she accepts his apology. It is my perception that Ellen did this cuz they're friends and wanted his name to be cleared. It was a selfish move on her part, completely forgetting the feelings of her gay fan base. That's how Hollywood got to her. She's self-centered. 

She wasn't the person to do this interview and she didn't press him on anything. She just called the lgbtq community haters and was up his a** the whole time.

I'm not saying that what he said wasn't insensitive, stupid, or hurtful, because what he said was wrong.  That being said, you are doing nothing by bringing up his past. He's grown, he's changed, and there is nothing you can do about the past.

Y'all defended James Gunn when his tweets were dug up (trust me, I remember because I used to be one of those people that vehemently went after Gunn), so why are y'all now attack Hart? 

Parts of your statement are simply not true. He even made those comments in an interview with Rolling Stone, in 2015. So, he's not grown, he only tries to hide his real self to gain profit.

No one is owed forgiveness, it’s something you have to earn. His way too late, obviously written by his or team apology doesn’t do nearly enough to counteract the years of shitty homophobic behavior he’s exhibited. Homophobia has been rampant is his routine and films for years, the jokes people point to mostl often are just the most glaring examples.

If he wants to be forgiven he needs to shut up, listen to queer people, and demonstrate an actual change of character. Yes that’s gonna take time but it’s the only really good way to do it. He hasn’t even taken step one on this journey and instead keeps yelling about how he shouldn’t even have to apologize. So no, he hasn’t earned forgiveness.
