gaga? nothing really. Just listed her as one of the people he's worked with.

Thank you. My sister just put it on right now. I asked her what exactly would Gaga have said if she were to go to this show? I honestly wouldn't know. She'd get even more backlash probably.

Yeah. Gaga's R.Kelly talk would be something different to what they're doing with this show. The main focus on this documentary is to share the stories of those directly effected by Roberts harassment.

ot: I'm equally disgusted at those adults who sat around while all of this happened.

Yes at them calling out other male artist taking advantage of teen girls. Truly sickening.

So by listing out other celebrities that did this we are supposed to be okay with it? 17 is beyond the age of consent.  We are talking about children 12-14 year olds. Disgusted. (And by no way am I excusing the other male artists.)

Watching this right now, don't we all feel the whole #MeToo movement hasn't yet taken off in the music industry? I wonder how many pedophiles we have in the music industry.. I don't think Drake is one (I hope he is not because I like him a lot:triggered:) but there have been a lot of talk about his friendships with younger girls.

I think the #metoo movement get's a lot of Hollywood attention because a lot of the women and men coming forward are actors. I believe if people show that we support the victim, more singers would probably come out. A lot of the abusers in the music industry have tons of say in these artist's career's therefore they're most likely afraid to lose everything.

Main reason why I respect Kesha. She put everything on the line to tell her truth.

The music industry is known to have trash in it, especially when regarding sexual assault and abuse. The issue (with what I've seen) is that people have more direct control over as individual artists' careers as opposed to film where there tends to be more people involved. Also, I don't think the public shows as much sympathy to musicians as they do actors; just looking at the comments people make about female popstars and how they're dressed as opposed to actors showing skin in a film and you'll see why there is some gap. MeToo requires public support and attention, which is why it has been so successful in Hollywood so far. But I would not be surprised if we hear more about this stuff in music in the coming years.

gaga's entire career would end. she'd have to sing jazz for the rest of her life to get the GP to even look at her again

True.

If I'm not mistaking, didn't Gaga recently said in a speech that she was abused by someone within the industry?

Yup. I think it’s what swines about. That makes the whole dwuw thing even weirder. Writing about a rapist/abuser in swine and collating with one on dwuw on the same album

Yes. She's held that statement since 2013 when she revealed she was abused in that Howard Stern interview I think? I could be wrong on when she first mentioned it.

Good thing L.A. Reid dropped Gaga.. He's also someone who has been accused of being a sexual predator. Joe Budden (the rapper) mentioned once that Hip Hop was in a better place without L.A. Reid..
