Why i like GAGAs release strategy

I like it how Gaga releases Albums and Singles. It's (mostly) the classic way.

When i think of Cardi B, Zayn, Nicki... etc.... they all release Songs unannounced and often without being on a album...

I mean, of course i would love to have more Gaga songs. The Cure was great. But Non-Album songs are not that special for me.

I want a concept. An announcement so i can totally enjoy the happiness of new Gaga music. A music video. A Concept!

Thats why i like it that no new music was released at the opening night of enigma. First get that Awards from ASIB and then snatch them all with LG6 and the lead single.

It's what most pop artists do with a big status. See Beyoncé or Britney Spears for example.

There's always a huge anticipation for new releases, the droughts may be annoying, but they are a part of the whole experience in my opinion. An announcement or a teaser for a new single from a brand new era is the most exciting thing an artist can give.

Yes standard for 2011, now it's quite uncommon to see releases like Gaga's. Most new tracks come out of nowhere, chart for some weeks and vanish. With streaming heavily decreasing revenue from artists, it's normat that they want to make the most of every track.

So I agree with the OP :vegas:

So you basically like standard release strategies. Cool.

Yeah, because they're not the standard anymore, as i mentioned :queenga:

I prefer Gaga's way too. I like how we get a full era to fully appreciate the music. Other artists need to do quick releases because the music isn't made to last.

Not really though... they're the standard for like every music genre out there, with the only exceptions being some pop artists (most of them still follow "Gaga's", though) and dance artists  Anyway, not a big deal. I just think you're exaggerating.

I think it's pretty obvious the op is talking about the popular artists that dominate the charts hence the name dropping of some of those artists.

Standard rollout seems to be going quite efficient for Gaga.

But I think she could greatly benefit from surprise release because she is a household name and that release could make some astounding first week numbers. Dunno about longevity tho...

Cardi has one standalone single, from before she blew up...

Most of ZAYN's singles ended up on his new album too, but that's arguable :poot:

And then we have Nicki with the three songs in 2017. But the release since Chun-Li was pretty standard imo
