Joschua 532
I've been waiting for this Gaga to return for years. Y'all can take a seat and stew in your negativity all you want. I'm buying tickets to the show so that I can have a good time.

I would genuinely have told my fans to **** off after all these years if they treated me like this. This woman has literally broken her hip for us and yet we criticize EVERYTHING she does whilst it is clear that this show was meant for us to be pleased.. Trust me, Ive defended her throughout her whole career, not even the MR video phased me, I loved TEOG video, I didnt even mind her fur period. So stop with this bullshit, we are allowed to have an opinion. And no, this show isnt for her fans.
MelbHawker 6,583
I think we're all entitled to our opinions. The show looks entertaining, but I guess I was a little underwhelmed at a portion of it (I wasn't at the show, I'm judging based off video footage). I understand that it'll change (with new music releases) and things will be tweaked/improved but I felt like the overall aesthetic of Enigma is made up of recycled parts of her previous shows/artistry. It resonates with the masses and I've read reviews branding it a 'legacy' type of show & that's precisely what irks me about it. I guess I'm just starved for new material outside of ASIB. bluemonkey 639
Wow, it’s like you’re not allowed to have an opinion here. Lady Gaga came to fame because of her avant-garde and imagery so of course we would expect a highly theatrical show and also she’s pulled some crazy stuff in the past so of course expectations would be high. And also, isn’t that’s why Jazz+Piano is for? So that all the attention is on her and her talents? She could lip sync on Enigma and I would have been fine with it because you go to that show for the crazy Gaga and to have fun. Even Gwen’s residency looks better with great staging and she doesn’t do that much compared to Gaga.

I am sorry but Gwen has same old boring stairs that you can see on almoast every tour out there I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

In an earlier post I said I created this thread because when I came here to read reviews all I could see was a list of negative threads and finding a positive one was like a needle in a haystack. I'm not saying that fans aren't entitled to a different opinion but I was overwhelmed by the negative response yesterday. It seemed the people who wanted crazyga back suddenly didn't like that she was back and it was weird to me.

She knew for some time that she was having trouble with her hip and it was getting worse. But she kept going because she didn't want to disappoint her fans. The same with fibro. She knew she had it but kept going until it landed her in the hospital, because she didn't want to disappoint her fans. It was a mistake in both cases. She should have cancelled concerts to seek help, but she kept going in hopes of being able to finish her tour. She is super rich, this was not about the money, it was all about her fans. I live outside the space time continuum.
techhausmonster 175
I totally agree. Everytime Gaga does something big, the fans bash on it because they expect it to be her releasing new music or that there's some fake insider telling you lies. It happened with Joanne, the Joanne World Tour, Coachella (even tho yall got lucky with that one), the AMAs performance, the Grammy performance, all of those random Fridays where they SWORE that Gaga had something coming out, and now Enigma. Gaga has said this in Joanne and even possibly before Joanne, but everything that you think she is going to do, she's going to do the total opposite and she's still going to serve you realness. That's Gaga. As for Enigma, the show is amazing. We have CrazyGa back but she's realer than ever. Gaga is serving is crazy wigs, outfits, vocals, choreo, robots, fan favorite tracks, and piano ballads all in one show. She's killing it.

She doesn't need the money, so why should she put up with all the negativity. She loves jazz, she can do country, but she did a pop show to please her fans. I envision a future in Broadway, more movies, and jazz. And that's plenty, considering there's marriage and children on the horizon. If Gaga was to retire from music because of negative reviews then she would have done it after ARTPOP. I don't think we should only be looking at what "Little Monsters" are saying because look at the big picture: The media outlets are saying good things about Enigma, the GP loves her again, she's now seen as not only an amazing artist but an amazing actress, and she's already outdoing what the other artists with Vegas residencies have been doing. She's doing just fine, you guys. She's doing more than just fine, actually. She's got this
Gaga4stef 112
Honestly with "fans" like some of y'all here she doesn't need enemies. Smh. There is nothing to not love about this show. It's perfect for what it is. How can people not appreciate the personal setting of Enigma? I guess I have a hard time understanding why people would prefer a huge stadium tour where you are a mile away from the stage/show. Every time we say goodbye baby it hurts

What she's already done I can't expect anymore? What kind of fairytale is that? I'm not asking for extra stuff, I'm asking for solid, conceptually and artistically thought out performances Right now I'm seeing a bunch of choreographed numbers that aren't individually memorable and that simply aren't... exciting. I'm in no way saying she needed to spend more money, putting on an epic show has nothing to do with that, and we've seen her do way more with way less, that's exactly why I'm sitting here like... meh. Anyway, whatever, clearly you don't agree with me but that's fine with me. I just don't get why it's not fine for others that I'm not happy I'm happy you're happy lol. It's sad how many people are trying to tear you down for your opinion lmao I totally agree with everything you've said so far. Enigma is an ok show, nothing ground-breaking at all. I think that Gaga has been afraid to put on her high-level, well thought and conceptual shows since she got trashed during ARTPOP Enigma is NOT memorable or iconic, it's just a good show and Gaga can do soooo much better, and I use her past shows as reference too, because you'd expect a growth, you expect Lady Gaga to blow your mind because she herself set her bar way too high. Like you said before, even the MB 1.0 was a better show, and even tho she was barely starting and the budget wasn't high the stage was clean and clear and didn't have this messy 1920-I-Think-This-Is-How-The-Future-Will-Look-Like layout. And it's also sad how a lot of stans here trash you because you gave your opinion based on a show that is for US, that she performs for her fans and people who want to see her; We are ALLOWED to say what we like and what we don't, and I respect Gaga's vision, but it's been quite a long time since Gaga put on an amazing, memorable full show. I think that Gaga needs a whole ass new team with new, fresh and modern ideas, not just her friends, wish I'm thankful for cuz they really take care of her but they aren't really the best at what they are and it shows. Anyways, I hope that she revamps this show once the new album is out, and I'm not saying the whole show but just a few aspects like the looks as a whole and remove those cringey performances that are going viral on Twitter and people are laughing at (I'm watching u miss Aura)
Andrew 375
To be honest, the show doesn't look as good as I hoped. But I haven't seen it in person yet so it's hard to make full judgement. I think it'll maybe be a bit better when Gaga releases new music and presumably changes up the setlist a bit to add in some new music.
