In her PR’s defense, that was no one’s fault but Madonna’s not being able to untie the cape soon enough

Sounds like career suicide :awkney: Girl i-

That’s why we’re lucky someone convinced her that only 10% of her audience would get the joke, but then they convinced her to go for a boxing theme, which transitioned to a hard candy theme, which is why the album booklet is such a mess.

May I ask what happened during ROL? :selena:

They hired a PR firm to make her seem “softer” and mother motherly. Her attitude was kept on a very short leash. And she did have a better public image until AL—then it was back to insulting, moody, and bitchy.

Well she blames the awards show for changing her stage last minute. She should’ve said no

Rebel Heart is uneven and too long but there are good moments.

I could really use an eye roll right now. Lol

You all missed the point on the whole reductive thing.

That was not an insult. The Born This Way song is fantastic and yet reductive. But that's how ya combine sound these days.  The person doing the interview made it spicy so Madonna did what she does and tried to make it funny.

Relax.

Please give us sinful Virgin Erotica Stories (in the vein of her 1989-1994 output, though not necessarily the same sound house/trip hop/acid jazz, mainly the themes of sexuality vs exploitation), Original Kween :messga:

Do you know how impossible it would be for a sixty-year-old woman to pretend to be a virgin? It worked when she was in her late twenties, but now she has kids :madge: I do wish she would return to that trip-hop/acid jazz sound though, but what I really want is the experimental electronica she did during Ray Of Light/Music. What I’m saying is she needs to return to what she’s good at, because she’s at a point in her career where she needs to maintain the audience she has rather than take risks, because she will only scare away younger audiences who will make fun of her as well as lose her long-time fans who will get tired of watching her career suicide.

This is a good thing, hopefully we’re in for an amazing 14th era.

She needs a PR team with her attitude. I recently watched a video she made on Instagram about empowering women and that we shouldn’t let age or gender define us; I really think it’s hypocritical that she makes these videos then trashed gaga through the media, she likes to advocate strength and empowerment but she contradicts herself when she is essentially dragging gaga through the mud? You want to advocate empowerment then maybe she should think of bringing women together and supporting gaga who is clearly emulating her success. So a good PR team will hopefully to wonders to stop the contradictions and make the music sing for itself because at the end of the day Madonna IS iconic, and is one of the most influential people in the industry but her attitude stinks and she is very self righteous and stuck up and that will not sell records in today’s market and especially not with her age at the minute.

She has literally said NOTHING.

Lets pretend she did....who cares?! Theres room for all.

But she hasnt said one word about Gaga. All of these hate Madonna threads have built up an illusion that something that hasnt happened has happened.  Nothing has happened.

So funny tho.

I was mainly referencing 2012Madge

I love that video actually. It is well edited and powerful. Her post this morning was also expertly edited surprisingly (her photos usually look as if she used FaceTune without wearing her reading glasses). I wonder if she's also hired a pro to fine-tune her insta?

We may be getting that if Mirwais still is in fact the main producer of the album. The whole Anitta thing scares me tho to be honest...

What Madonna needs to do is actually make another good album, not the rent-a-rapper, DJ producer crap she's done since Confessions. And she also needs someone to act as quality control, most of  Brain Fart should have been left in the studio

That said working with Mirwais again is a good sign that she's going back to what she does best

She already worked with William Orbit again on MDNA and look how it turned out :messga:. I didn’t say I want Mad to sing about virginity from same perspective of when she was in her mid 20s. I want her to recontextualise virginity from the perspective of motherhood. I want her to reference her past but also make a statement about today’s world and how she feels about it :messga:

I definitely do not want another failed attempt at capturing the sound of Ray of Light. I know its her most critically acclaimed or whatever but to me that album is the least authentic Madonna album. :messga:
