She had all odds against her... it was her first movie, with Bradley’s debut as a director, with a relatively low budget and it still managed to smash commercially and they have received a lot of nominations. It would've been nice, but I feel like the other films rightfully had chances to win over them. Every other movie really felt like they used a big ensemble, if that makes any sense. Less scattered.
