“Shallow” only needs 2 more days at number one on WW iTunes to enter the top 10 of longest runs at number 1.

She’s at 72 days. Camila is at 73.

Ava is coming, this is true. But Gaga will most likely snag 2 more days because Ava is a solid 4000 points under Gaga, WW.

This is all before awards season, so we can excpect a day or two, at least, after those. Golden Globes are this Sunday. If she wins, and if ASIB gets some good recognition, we can expect more days at number one!

———————————————————

Also, we need to discuss YouTube.

Bad Romance is earning well above it’s 2018 average, and has been for the past week and half. On NYE, it broke 1/2 million views for the first time since the Super Bowl (roughly).

Poker Face is surging. Big time. It’s likely to cross 600m in May.

The biggest mysteries to me are Telephone and Alejandro, both of which are surging too. Telephone got a ton of views on New Year’s Day, and Alejandro crept above 100,000 for the first time in over a year.

Almost all her principal videos showed modest increases since late December, as well. Enigma effect?

”Shallow” seems to stabilizing right around 1.5M daily, which is 100 percent wonderful. INLA is gonna cross 100m in roughly 16 days. ARUTW will hit 100m slowly but surely as well. In the spring, at worst, after the Oscars, at best.

After INLA and ARUTW go 100m, she will have 18 vevo certified videos. She will stay there for a bit unless the explicit Telephone video can get a boost, or she gets another smash.

Gaga overall is about to pass Skrillex and Major Lazer on total views.

Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro got a lot of views because of the New Year parties from Latin America, Eastern Europe etc, the places that still prefer youtube over spotify to play music.

The production is kinda trash, but I use the accoustic version.

I admit it's a bop but it's generic af, still don't understand how people can claim it's fresh and original and compare this girl to Gaga just with one single out.

Well, Bad Romance was certified in 2015 and the new rule (which is "150 on-demand audio and/or video streams count as 1 Unit" instead of 100) was set in 2016

  Reveal hidden contents

You can check on Wikipedia, not so difficult :messga:

The history of 1150 for every unit is a bullshit, because a song would need 575M streams in USA to be certified Gold, and we all know they are way too much for a simple Gold song :ohwell:

So even with the 150 = 1 rule Bad Romance would be Diamond as of today? Asking because i rarely do calculations, especially for songs already certified years ago. And yes the 1150 = 1 seemed fake and out of proportion, but he was determined on his statement so it was interesting to follow.

Pure sales for BR are 5,8 million (February 2018), so about 4,2M are missing

4,2M pure copies = 630M streams

I think BR would be Diamond anyway, or in the worst scenario very close to it

Spoiler

But who cares, Bad Romance is 11xPlatinum :vegas:

Only Gold? In 3 moths? Wasn't the album+single smashing there? :noparty:

We should be glad that they even certify it. I think the only other single being certified was Poker Face and even that is only certified Gold even though it should be multiple Platinum.

I guess Shallow is already Platinum but I am not sure if it gets certified in future.....

Same in Spain. The last certified single was Poker Face before they certified Shallow gold.
