Pure sales should have gotten quite a boost while SEA and TEA took a hit

Nope. Both pretty much the same as last week.

Xmas albums and kids-friendly/gift card albums are the ones that got the sales boost (see: The Greatest Showman at #5)

Aren't 65k and 63k holiday's sales in USA for ASIB underwhelming?

Taking into account that in AUS and UK, very much little markets than USA, ASIB has sold almost 30k respectively on holidays week?

I mean:

Holiday boost in USA: 16%

Holiday boost in AUS: 29%

Yes. The US sales market tumbled hard in comparison to the rest of the countries. I blame rap.

Worldwide iTunes Song Chart

1 = Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow / 95 days in the chart - 69 at #1 / 19106 points (+110 since the last update)

2 (+1) DJ Snake - Taki Taki / 92 days in the chart - 16 at #2 / 14484 points (+32 since the last update)

3 (-1) Ariana Grande - thank u, next / 55 days in the chart - 13 at #1 / 14389 points (-493 since the last update)

Amazing guys. :excited2: The difference between Shallow and the second place is still huge. Unless someone BIG releases something in the upcoming weeks, I can see Gaga being stable at first. And with the Awards Seasons starting, I wonder if it can reach the +100 days at #1 mark.

#1 109,000 (61,000)   [32,000 SEA = 43m streams] {160,000 tracks}
#2 93,000   (52,000)   [30,000 SEA = 41m streams] {110,000 tracks}
#2 79,000   (45,000)   [24,300 SEA = 33m streams] {100,000 tracks}
#5 68,000   (35,000)   [24,000 SEA = 32m streams] {80,000 tracks}
#4 62,000   (38,000)   [18,000 SEA = 24m streams] {54,000 tracks}
#4 53,000   (30,000)   [14,500 SEA = 20m streams] {50,000 tracks}
#7 48,000   (27,000)   [13,000 SEA = 18m streams] {39,000 tracks}
#4 54,000   (39,000)   [11,600 SEA = 16m streams] {39,000 tracks}

#4 62,000   (46,000)   [12,000 SEA = 16m streams] {44,000 tracks}

Total: 1,067,000 (665,000) [357m streams] {1,256,000 tracks}

estimated SEA and TEA.
If Shallow really did 30k alone this week than I think 44k is not a bad estimate.

Shallow US Total

Total Pure: 469,000

Total Streams: 140.6m [937,000]
{104.87m On-Demand Streams [699,000] / 35.73m YT streams}

Total: 1,406,000 units (RIAA)
Total: 1,168,000 units (On-demand only)

Shallow hits 1.4 million units.

Next milestones, Shallow should hit 500,000 pure sales in about 2 tracking weeks. Shallow should still pull about 50k SPS units a week for a bit more. Golden Globes week will be a preview of how much awards can help.

Talking about films that have things going against them, I think the one that has nothing working against it and people seem to be sleeping on is BlackKklansman (not sure if it's written that way :huntyga:) It's a good film (to me). It's critically acclaimed, made money, is getting screenplay and probably director, has a diverse cast and in my opinion deserves cast ensemble over BP and CRA (they are some people in those casts I really don't want to see win)

i agree, for me best picture is between ASIB, The Favorite, Blackkklansman and Black Panther (:madge:), maybe Green Book, but this had so much backlash i don't know if it still has a chance to win

Blackkklansman (i really don't get this name :ladyhaha:) for me deserves ensemble the most

We're far from the Shallow now

I think this year the best Picture will go to a movie that had some box office succes, so ASIB and Black Panther have the best chances for now.

Yh, especially because they wanted a best popular film category, and that's why BP actually has a great shot, cuz, aside from the box office, it has a diverse cast. But we'll have to see, if BP doesn't win ensemble, its chances plummet

We're far from the Shallow now

ASIB already has 343,000 units sold in the 2019 Billboard year. iirc only ASIB's first 6 weeks were included in 2018.
