I just don't understand why she (and other artists) flip flop around so much and shade their past work when promoting new material. Every time Miley is out promoting something new, she somehow likes to throw her old work under the bus (Hannah Montana, Bangerz, Younger now not being her home even though she spent all that time talking about how she was the most authentic, it was her roots etc.)

You can evolve and grow without shading on your past accomplishments (or lack thereof)

Of course the LMs are gonna bash her when Gaga had been saying this same thing ever since C2C and straight up saying she was a made up character for 6 years and this is who she is etc etc

Actally not long ago Gaga said she rediscovered Born This Way and she appeecaites it a lot :vegas: And she celebrated The Fame's birthday and Joanne's Grammy nom.

She doesn't seem fond of the ARTPOP era but I'm sure she loves the album.

I want Gaga to discredit Joanne, she has to say it was a spirit and that DarkGa is back :vegas:

Sorry Joanne, there is a new Girl in town Aaaaaaa

Do you copy-paste the same post in every thread :oprah:

Yeah and that's the exact album I'm talking about, and I remember her talking badly of it because I remember being upset by it, and so were the monsters that love ARTPOP.

During Cheek to Cheek she said that she is happy again because Tony made her feel comfortable. ARTPOP was a hard time for her, not because of the music but because of all the things that went wrong at that time.

She said Joanne was her most personal work because of obvious reasons. She talked openly about family and friends, more than she did before. But during the JWT she said that is debatable if Joanne is her most personal album. Every album is personal in it’s own way.

She said many things that were shady towards ARTPOP thought C2C and Joanne era. The one that I vividly remember is that Joanne was all real instruments and no computers were used to edit her voice or anything unlike her older albums, and it felt very authentic to her.

Going by that logic her saying "ARTPOP is the album of the millenium" or "f*ck you pop music, this is ARTPOP" is more shady than anything you mentioned :ohwell:

Except Gaga has never said anything bad about any of her work. That is the difference between Gaga and Miley. Gaga is mature enough to focus on the living in the moment instead of living in regret. She even revealed to Stephen Colbert last month that in everything she does she tries to be her most honest in that moment, and not to be so hard on herself. Clearly Miley does not possess the maturity and confidence Gaga has in acknowledging the importance of honouring your path, even if you find that you are a different person.

That's why I said she doesn't acknowledge the era. But in the past year she performed Applause, Venus, Sexxx Dreams, Mary Jane Holland, Swine in an interlude, Donatella and now Aura. The music is still more present than Born This Way was during ARTPOP.

What has Miley said about her work that is bad? She said that sound isn't for her, she likes pop.

After the backlash of SB she performed them on Coachella, and all of these were from Coachella. During the tour she performed only one song, like half of it :vegas:

Exactly! And she is performing Aura at Enigma! She loves ARTPOP just as much as the rest of us but it probably hurts her alot to think about.

She is disassociating herself from her art because it is no longer current. She does it every single time.
