Girl, it leaked that they wanted to give it to Gaga for at least 3 years now, but she refuses to accept it because she thinks the VMAs have become an irrelevant sh*tshow.

The final nail to the coffin was the Applause performance that MTV sabotaged and Gaga going up early when the audience started to boo the award winners.

Girl. First of all - Gaga opened the show - no one won anything before that. Boo-ing was part of Gaga’s performance and it’s audio that she wanted to use and used od purpose to send a message. No one sabotaged anything. I’m honestly stunned sometimes at how uninformed some of you are. Lmao

I think they were actually referring to the offstage camera video of her in the crowd when she saw people booing One Direction and told Richy she wanted to leave. So she did, that’s why she has a pic with them backstage when she was leaving to tell them to not listen and she thinks they deserve respect etc.

As for sabotaging it was revealed like in 2015 the VMAs main focus was put on Miley at the time because she was the it girl at that moment, she had the most budget and was hyped up as the star of the show by the media in the run up. They told Gaga she couldn’t do her performance because she wanted to have torture art and other technology they couldn’t afford to have I believe, and she had to change her performance at the last minute.

As for the whole trying to give her the Vangaurd already idk, it’s possible since last year they were REALLY trying to sell her and stuff she was in almost all the social media promo and stuff, maybe they wanted to give her it last year who knows.

That would be lovely. I'm all for her receiving any and all awards/recognition. But I'm oddly superstitious and don't like to discuss such things for fear of jinxing it.

I'm pretty sure Gaga's beef with MTV is resolved.

Lets not forget her randomly presenting that award at the MTV Movie Awards. Obviously she was there for the Five Foot Two nom, but in the past I doubt she would even attend something like that. 

Despite that, I think she's above the VMAs and shouldn't attend. The show is not very popular anymore.

I think they're referring to when she walked out (I think she went backstage) after One Direction were booed after winning an award. Gaga is very respectful, so I can see being in an environment like this pissing her off.
