Gaga feat. Florence should've sounded and looked like this

Well, i get what you’re saying. But have you seen 5ft2? The song is about sisterhood and picking each other up when you’re blue. And it was just so nice to see how both of them worked on that song, the fun they had. If you see where the song is coming from, it’s all working out.

Plus we all know the vocal abilities of both of them, they don’t have to pull a Christina on us :trollga:

Hey Girl is severely underrated. The synths to me are very experimental and very non-conforming to the way other musicians make music.

I remember when Joanne first came out, I was so impressed by this song that I called it the best song on Joanne, I've changed my opinion about that to Diamond Heart, but Hey Girl still has a special place in my heart. I had goosebumps all over and I was playing this song again and again along with Sinner's Prayer, surprisingly John Wayne, Dancin' in Circles which are huge bops, were not played as frequently as the former two songs by me.

I think John Wayne and Dancin' in Circles have more replay value because they are that kind of dance bops that pop music fans love, but Hey Girl, Sinner's Prayer and Come to Mama have the strongest impressive value among all the songs on Joanne. I'm glad she took a different direction and did not conform to the expectations of the public, including little monsters.

I'll hear you out but imma still come for you, Ive been a Florence Stan since lungs and I think people just want it to be the super loud and  hyper songs that suit her powerful voice well, but Hey Girl showcases her other vocal abilities and it makes me so happy every time I listen to it.

Agreed, +Gaga has a lot of loud hyper singing in Hey Girl anyway. Both screaming would really be "too much noise." it's already a vocal heavy song.

Hey Girl is such an underrated song, I love its lyrics in that bridge

And I'm still mad they never performed it together (well, Gaga never performed it AT ALL):noparty:

YESSS I have said this since it came out. I was let down too bc I wanted an epic song that was either ethereal like Cosmic Love or grungy and heavy like What Kind of Man.

I mean I didn't even want an upbeat track, but, like, Big God or June or literally everything from High As Hope isn't upbeat but STILL a fkin' great song.

I wish their collaboration was more like that

ugh June <3 Favorite song on that album next to Big God. They're both so tremendous and the fact that she got Kamasi Washington for the album is something else

I only really like Hey Girl because it sounds like Bennie and The Jets by Elton John with some Prince synthesizers added in :toofunny:

Florence is a great artist though
