Applause 5. Perfect Illusion They were all smash hits! Danceable and fast. Loud. New. Wonderful. Even PI, which is very different to the other songs on Joanne was that kind of song. So i'm in big hope for another Smash hit for LG6! Pleaaase Gaga, i love your ballads but LG6s first single has to be like that again 💖 What do you think? Bad Romance and Born This Way were massive for obvious reasons and I feel like now people will actually pay attention to her again so lets hope it’s a great song! With the Digital/Streaming Age, there is no reason why an artist needs to wait until they have a collection of 10-15 songs to release on an album, pick 1 single from the album to lead with, release that first, and the rest of the album shortly thereafter. That's the way it has been done for decades, and it's what we are expecting her to do when we post threads like this. But there are fewer and fewer benefits to the artist for doing it this way. It doesn't make your song a guaranteed hit or guarantee radio play. So why do the whole single-album-2nd single thing yet again? She might release one-offs of various genres before the album to see which one sticks and resonates with listeners (like Nicki's Queen rollout and many other rappers). She might release a mixtape of a few songs with her collaborating with different talent. Maybe we'll get a Sophie mixtape then a Ronson mixtape or something.
