I just find this sobbing and crying at awards shows during the awards season a bit contrived... sure, she gets emotional because she's getting appreciation for something that's been her dream for a long time, but I don't think mention every single personal problem in an acceptance speech is necessary or completely honest... you can justify it by saying Gaga is doing it for the community, for the other victims etc, but I cannot just not notice that it's regularly happening while she's promoting a new album, movie etc. As a fan, you are entitled to your own interpretation, but so am I. Yeahhh. It's like a) lots of emotional dysregulation b) poor boundary issues (not every triumph has to detail all the pain and struggles she apparently went thru to get there).. c)v "dramatic" and hyperbolic. Unfortunately Stefani has mental illness issues, we all know this, these behsviors are common amongst ppl w bipolar/personality disorders etc. The way I see it... Pretending to be a robot alien mermaid cult mother Italian man Mary Magdalene Venus princess high die Joanne from space for 5 plus years had to take a toll on her sense of self along the way. It's only sensical that she's dealing with the fallout now when she's been covering up her identity for so long.... Hmm.

Gaga's just a naturally emotional person though. Just because you wouldn't cry at every single award show doesn't mean she wouldn't. People express their emotions differently and to regulate them and say "Well, this feels forced or inauthentic" just seems illogical. It's kind of like she ends up standing for nothing then I don't know... I definitely think Gaga was a character, always, but on the other hand, I'm not sure what we're seeing now isn't a character in similar fashion. I'm not buying the whole "this is really me" storyline. If she was smart enough to play a character to get commercial success for years, then why would she suddenly have stopped being that smart? I'm seeing constant strategic moves from her, now more than ever, actually. I think it’s WAY easier to argue that Gaga “sold out” to get famous during TF and following, when you look at her work pre Fusari and the pop machine. Now, I tend to see it more as “buying in” but after having that pop machine beat her up physically and mentally it’s not surprising she felt a need to break from those influences for a while. And Yes marketing probably has something to do with toning things down also. She wants to be more than a pop star and that is what she was destined to be locked in as. I get that some fans may not like it but it’s her choice.

Her emotional first speeches gave her attention in the media and now she's emotional non stop.

I genuinely believe she's just that emotional and just loves and adores people, which is why she always comments on the "100 people in the room..." thing.
