I Feel Gaga is In a Conundrum

Some somewhat negative thoughts, but lately I've been feeling that Gaga or her label, manager etc have no idea how to market her anymore. I think I understand why Troy Carter was so against C2C, in a way it was the death of classic Gaga. I think SXSW was the final hurrah for that Gaga. I understand her rebrand, but I have no idea how she will maintain success or stop bleeding success on her current course. Gaga went from edm to jazz, and shifted her image, then shifted to a new image for Joanne, and it was still a huge shift from c2c and her previous discography. By the time lg6 is released, Gaga's fanbase will consist of mostly older hac audiences, yet she's releasing electronic music with a label that clearly won't invest into her majorly or force radios to play her. I just don't know how Gaga will keep a fan base with this constant shift. Sorry needed to vent

She’s just subject to change. I can assure you if she had stayed “classic Gaga” her career wouldn’t be as successful as it is now. I love her but look at Katy Perry and her current success, all down to regurgitating the same formula out over and over and a lack of artistic growth.

I swear these types of topics are so annoying. Who cares if her fan base will become "older" people...Isn't that what we wanted, Gaga to feel appreciated to all ages? Joanne, ASIB and C2C really helped the GP understand how freakin talented Gaga is...I think us fans want that more than chart/sales success. Back then, she was disliked a lot, but had huge success. Now, she is well liked and very successful, a #1 movie, soundtrack, Shallow is everywhere, Grammy/Oscars nominations and mostly everyone loves her. You know why she shifted from EDM to Jazz to Country.....she is an ARTIST OF ALL GENRES. She shows how talented she is, and if you can't see that, leave.

Her brand has always been transforming. That's why little monsters don't manage her career. Y'all will probably release that DWUW video and end her career. :rip:

I think people overestimate how much of an impact fanbases have on the actual success of an album/single. Fans take up such a small percentage of who actually end up buying the product. The GP will buy a song they hear and like, and buy an album if there's multiple songs they like. Her success moving forward will depend on the demographic she wants to cater to right now and how well the promotion is handled.

Fame IV

She is always evolving. Let me remind you that right now Gaga is at her absolut peak, everyone is discovering her without any "masks" and appreciating her talent, getting Oscar buzz and selling albums like hot cakes. A Star is Born, for example, is a genius marketing move, but only a passionate and hard-working artist like Gaga could pull it off. She is not an artist for one specific fanbase, but an universal entertainer, and has the world on her hands. No matter what direction she goes on the future she'll have support because now people recognize her versality and artistry.

For people that claim to be fans of her, you reallt don’t get her at all. She changes every era. The way she talks, the music she makes...every era has a specific persona. This isn’t new.

Her fanbase has grown a lot more diverse over the last few years THANKS to her rebrand, AND it’s why she’s doing a pop show and a jazz show for her residency.

You guys need to chill the **** out and just watch her do her thing instead of bitching about her label and her team. Gaga is a smart woman. She knows what she’s doing.

I can't take this fanbase anymore. GagaDaily has become a trashcan where everyone thinks that can manage an artist's career. We don't. We are not professionals. Just fking enjoy music. This is really disrespectful.

I love ASIB era, but her peak is TF and TFM, and it always will be. Gaga is experiencing a renaissance right now, I'm just hoping it transfers to her further career.

It's just some thoughts. I still love Gaga and will stan even if she's an indie artist, but a mainstream pop star must also be a brand to succeed, and Gaga's has become a bit messy, and it's prevented her from reaching the masses like she did initially when her brand was so concise, consisten, well-known and well executed.

I can assure you, ASIB is a new peak without any doubt, based on the universal reaction, critical/commercial sucess. One of the best transitions of a singer to the acting world.
