Yall so messy. She released good music and was finally rewarded for it. NTLTC, GIAW and Breathin are fantastic songs, some of my faves this year. Sweetener is a good album. 81 on MC she deserved this success.

Its not like Breathin or GIAW didnt do well, NTLTC was still top 10 on charts and radio so she just released them too early to smash harder

Ariana has had so many tragedies that thrust her into the spotlight further. It's unfortunate, but she's been on everyone's lips because of her exes deaths, breakups and terrorism and that priest assaulting her at Aretha's funeral.

She released a song ABOUT her exes; one which died LESS than two months ago, and another who she broke up an engagement with 2 weeks before the song was released. She could’ve either went with a love/breakup song where she could indirectly reference them (like Taylor Swift); or release the song 4 months from now.

Instead she chose to mention her exes by name right after Macs death and Pete’s breakup to ride on the hype while it’s relevant. 

If you wanna act oblivious go ahead, but I’m not one who would sugarcoat some obvious bs.

you're overreacting and over exaggerating so hard  

She released a song about all of her exes, on which she has nothing to say but nice things about them and she mentions mac and calls him an angel, okay we get it. How is that "milking the **** out of his death and making it all about herself"

The point isn’t whether she called out all of them or selective few, nor it’s about what she said about them.  Point is, she chose to release this song, about this topic, at this time. So yes she is in fact milking her ex’s death and breakup because it’s relevant and she knew it would sell.
