Finland most racist towards black people in EU, study shows

Almost a third of people of African descent polled in a new EU survey say they have experienced racial harassment in the last five years, a report that claims racial discrimination is “commonplace” across 12 European countries reveals.
People of African descent face “a dire picture” of discrimination in housing, the workplace and everyday life, the survey of 5,803 people by the European Union’s fundamental rights agency states.

Perceived racial harassment, such as offensive gestures, comments or threats, was highest in Finland (63%) and Luxembourg (52%) and least prevalent in the UK (21%) and Malta (20%).

One in 20 respondents said they had been a victim of a physical attack in the last five years, ranging from 14% in Finland to 2% in Portugal. The figure was 3% for the UK.

I assume this happens more in a homogenous society, so it sadly makes sense that Finland has a higher rate of racist incidents than the UK for example.

As shamed as I am, this is very true. Racism towards minorities from Middle-East and Somalia/Sudan is a main issue in our society. Let's just say that Finland is very islamphobic, as I myself have witnessed and experienced it. I'm Middle-Eastern, born and raised in Finland and the stereotypes are everyday part of minorities lives, no matter if you are christian, atheist or muslim.  For example, today I read in news about Middle-Eastern guy raping a woman here while let's say if native finish did it, it wouldn't have ended in the news from the beginning. 

I hate the finish propaganda where the government is trying to make Finland look like this diverse utopia, when in fact racism has been and still is our main issue here.

EDIT: The irony that the two people who LMAO'ed this are from Finland.
