Mississippi is actually a pretty purple state (meaning half liberal, half conservative) which is quite unusual for the South, but the rich, white good ol' boys and racist rednecks have still managed to maintain a slight majority. Thank goodness the majority of my county was for Espy. It's just so frustrating that these days, it seems the more outright offensive you are, the more the GOP loves you, and it shouldn't be that way. Politicians should be held to a higher standard. Also, don't even get me started in Hyde-Smith's incompetence. She wouldn't even debate Espy unless she got all the questions in advance, had a panel that consisted entirely of her supporters, and had no live audience present. Even with all that, she still stumbled through the debate, mainly just talking about how much she loves Trump. Just... ugh... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
