But I don't see them getting an Oscar for this... Mainly because it's already kinda seen... I love the message of the song tho... Villanelle 1,247 Posted November 27, 2018 Share Posted November 27, 2018 I don't know why Hollywood or whoever at Disney thinks a sequel to Mary Poppins is a good idea. I am not saying the movie will be bad, not at all, BUT who realistically is going to say "Mary Poppins 2 is better than the first one". The comparisons are just going to go on and on. And from the trailer and early reviews, it seems like they've copied the format of the original movie but with a different family and set a few years on, probably to play it safe.
