This is misinformation I think. Same-sex marriage will pass automatically by next year, either May or March, not sure, might be misremembering but it's next year for sure. It just won't be "equal" to heterosexual marriage in some ways. For what it's worth it's progressive enough, and it'll only get better from there. It could be far worse.

Wait, The point of gay marriage is so that we have equal opportunities by law and hence why we fought for it so much. How TW will have same sex marriage without the law that protects and make the community equal to hetero? How's that gonna go?

that's the problem, it's not gonna work. and that's their plan. they don't think gays are equal, here people think that anything they can offer to the minorities is a mercy and we should appreciate that we are not getting killed like people in some Muslim countries

according to the constitutional court the government needs to make sure gay couples have the same right, but technically it's impossible if gay marriage can't use the same law, that means we have to sue the government to see if there's a chance they change their mind, but the conservators and Chinese are taking over the country so it's not gonna happen very soon, hell, I don't even know if we can keep the democracy system because it seems like we will really become a part of China in a very near future.

Not necessarily. Tunisia (technically North Africa) and Lebanon are coming really close, so I wouldn't say the last.

We just need more people in LGBT progressive countries to lead by example and raise awareness about our struggles instead of bickering around or complaining.

The Kashoggi murder for example raised a lot of negative press around Saudi Arabia in the West. Likewise people in the West should do the same for the Mowjoudin Queer Film Festival that was shut down in Tunisia, or support their president for his stance on decriminalizing homosexuality.

Same goes for Lebanon's annual Beirut Pride (also shut down this year). People in the West or in progressive countries are so quick to criticize non-progressive countries but when these countries' people actually need awareness or help *poof* immediate silence. Hypocrites.
