RAMROD 116,994
Not surprising. It is especially hard in Asia and Middle East. There will be the last nations to join, if ever. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Trxstan 1,674
The sad part is that the government is trying to push for LGBT visibility, even wanting it to be included in the educational curriculum, but the people are the ones against it. woop hey there keep scrolling

YourEvilTwin 1,384
The referendum was about wether to amend the current Civil Code to include same-sex couples in the same union class as heterosex couples. They are still getting "gay marriage" by next year no matter what as per the ruling of the Constitutional Court, but now the government has to create a "special" new class for gay couples, so "separate but equal" is what it's going to be. mistylake 2,169
well If the people in the US vote on the same issue, I'm not sure if the results would be different tbh.
Galagala 4,622
Well, I am Taiwanese and I voted yes. Yeah, the celebrities, the ruling party ,and the young people (18-40) are mainly supporting same-sex marriage ,while people at age above 40 and those from churches are against it. Those church people are so strong. They're the ones that proposed this anti-lgbt referendum and also the ones that own wealth & power to buy a large number of tv/newspaper ads. We young people are not their rivals at all. They "teached" the elderly "how to vote" and misled the public into believing "your children may probably change their sexuality just because the legalization of same-sex marriage " by advertising on tv and sharing these absurd information through LINE groups. However, I'm totally fine cuz I believe we'll make it at length. We're becoming stronger and the most young Taiwanese are on our side. The future is bright. Not true. A majority of people in the United States now support same sex marriage according to many polls. It's at like 67% according to this poll taken this year. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2018/05/23/same-sex-marriage-poll-americans/638587002/
